Established in 1988, the Turnaround Management Association (TMA) is the only international organization dedicated to corporate renewal and turnaround management. TMA is a professional association of Corporate Restructuring Professionals with more than 9,000 members in 47 worldwide chapters in the US, Australia, Brazil, the Czech Republic, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Japan, the Netherlands, Southern Africa, Spain, Sweden, Taiwan and the UK.

46% of the membership base are turnaround practitioners who consult with, or participate in, helping troubled companies in the recovery process, including accountants, financial advisors, interim corporate managers, financial and operating advisors. The remainder are attorneys, lenders and bankers, PE investors and other professionals such as receivers, trustees, liquidators and regulatory/government representatives. 

The Turnaround Management Association – Sweden (TMA Sweden) is an international affiliate of the Turnaround Management Association (TMA). In terms of its license agreement, TMA Sweden members share in knowledge exchange and networking with TMA.
